Apart from cultural and technological activities, IET has recently started Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). The prosperity of a nation and society is measured by its industrialization and economic progress. Technology and globalization are ushering an era of unprecedented change. There is an immediate need and pressure for change and innovation. Keeping pace with emerging technology of today’s world, IET has incorporated an Entrepreneurship Development Cell to guide and assist the budding and prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support system, information on technologies, etc. Under This Program various program has been organized in association with many organization like MSME, EDI, NSIC, etc.
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), an autonomous and not-for-profit institute, set up in 1983, is sponsored
by apex financial institutions - the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and the State Bank of India (SBI). The Government
of Gujarat pledged twenty-three acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDII campus. To pursue its mission,
EDII has helped set up twelve state-level exclusive entrepreneurship development centres and institutes. One of the satisfying
achievements, however, was taking entrepreneurship to a large number of schools, colleges, science and technology institutions
and management schools in several states by including entrepreneurship inputs in their curricula.
IET is proud to be associated with EDII, Ahmedabad to develop the entrepreneurship skills of the students and to motivate them for
becoming job provider instead of job seeker.
The Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) aims to promote entrepreneurship as a career option among students and to give them an insight into various business opportunities in manufacturing, trading, and service sector. Students get opportunities to interact with experts and also get a host of business opportunities under one roof. IET is organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) Sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad on regular basis.
