About Department

The department of Management Studies was started in 2004 with MBA Programme Affiliated from University of Rajasthan Jaipur. With incorporation of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota the same MBA programme has been affiliated from there from 2006. The goal of the department is to prepare executives destined for successful management careers since its inception the department has endeavored to give its students an education encompassing all management discipline in order to prepare them for any change in professional life. The department has a professional body named R’Academia to plan and organize other co curricular activities. These activities are Quizzes, Seminars and Workshops on SPPSS, Excel and campus to corporate.

Department Achievements

Rajasthan Technical University has awarded ranking to its affiliated institutes on the basis of Quality Index Value "QIV" score. The University administration, on the auspicious occasion of the Republic Day Celebration on 26th January, 2018 is pleased to honour Institute of Engineering & Technology, Alwar with a Certificate of Excellence, for obtaining Third Rank within Category-A for the academic session 2017-18 in Management Program(MBA).
The department has the distinction of producing Gold Medalist students every year. To name few Ms. Shivi Khandelwal, Ms. Monika Jain, Ms. Bharkha Flora, Ms. Ranjana Gill, Mr. Akash Gupta, Mr. Gaurav Tyagi, Ms. Bhawana also hold ranks in RTU Kota. We have track record of having 80% of students scoring more than 75% marks.
Our MBA first year Students Heena Choudhary, Garvit Khandelwal and Anubhav Agarwal participated in THAR-RTU-2017 in BIZZ.TECH on 16-18th Feb 2017 and won 1st prize.
Our first year students’ team (Neha Sharma, Heena Choudhary and Samiksha Data) participated and secured positions in various activities like Business Quiz, Role-playing, JAM, Stock simulation and trading on 24-27 March organized by BITS-Pillani (APOGEE 2017).
Our Students have also made us pride by their active participation in National/ International level activities. Our MBA students Mr. Pallav Bhatt & Mr. Simran Jeet participated in poster presentation at Higher education summit last year organized by FICCI and won prize in student category.
Recently on 21-22 Oct 2016 our department have organized management development program (MDP) with 150+ industrial professional and academicians on employability enhancing and harmonization among employess with renowned key speakers.
Dr. Bhupendra Kumar has participated in different global level Faculty development program at IIM Indore, IIM Calicut, IIFT Calcutta, SEBI/MCA Resource workshops and many more. He has also got published recently 4 more books and 6 more research papers in field of Finance /Managerial Economics and research. Our other faculty members as Dr Pramod Gupta, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Ms. Shivani Gupta, and Mr. Neerav Kumar and so on have excelled in many other areas such as publishing 32 international papers, 10 national papers and 8 books in different areas of management studies just recently.
Some of our Ph.D research scholars as Ms. Neha Saini is working on Micro Finance Institutions in India with global comparison and have got published original research papers in renowned journals.
Our Students have also made us pride by their active participation in national level activities. Our MBA student Mr. Pallav Bhatt participated in poster presentation at Higher education summit 2013 organized by FICCI and won prize in student category.
Our student Mr. Simran Jeet Singh and Mr. Pallav Bhatt's research paper on Fiscal cliff is selected for presentation in IIM Kozikode.
Our students also participated in various other activities organized by AIMA I–nurture, IIM Kolkata, ASSOCHAM, SEBI, RBI etc
Dr. Bhupendra Kumar has visited in last academic (year 20013-14) session, IIM Indore, IIM Calicut, IIFT Calcutta, and SEBI/MCA Resource workshops Ahmedabad.vHe has also got published 4 books on Managerial Economics, Research Methodology, Financial Management, Fundamentals of Banking and Services. He has also got published two research paper in renowned journals.
Our faculty members have excelled in many other areas such as publishing 32 international papers, 10 national papers and 5 books in different areas of management studies.
Many of our faculty members sharred their expertise as a visiting faculty at IIM Kozikode, redency sitapur, shridhar university and other reputed universities and colleges and as consultancies to corporate.
Our faculty members have also been designated with editorship in various international journals like AMP (Association of management Professionals, Our faculty members are also recognized as resource person by SEBI and also have professional membership of AIMA.

Research (Ph.D) @MBA IET

Any Post graduate in MBA/Commerce with 60% is eligible to Ph.D at MBA IET affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University Kota. MBA IET is only research centre in this region to RTU Ph.D with advanced research lab and eligible supervisors in Finance, HR and Marketing.

Students those have qualified JRF/NET/SLET is eligible to Ph.D with scholarship up-to 24,000/month as per UGC/RTU/IET norms.

Department Society

Our department has formed professionally managed academic body of faculty members & students named R’Academia to organize events and to keep motivated students to achieve bigger. The main aim of the body is to convert students in to an employment ready professionals by organizing extra academic curricular activities as inviting guest lectures, organizing Management development programs/workshops/conferences even yoga/meditations workshops and regular management labs, GDs, Mock PIs, management games and aptitude classes.
